![]() However, I've never seen this work with this problem. This is *supposed* to force the Sky box to do a reset and download a software update. There's one 'public' fix that Sky will tell you - try switching the box off at the mains, holding down the 'backup' button and turning the power back on (as you continue to hold the backup button down). There are loads of answers on the web - a lot suggest just unplugging and plugging back in but this generally won't solve the issue (most of the time) However, I thought I'd put this post up in the hope that Google indexes it and then all the fix information I found is in one place. ![]() ![]() I had a problem with my Sky+ box stuck in Standby – there's loads of (unhelpful) advice on the net but thanks to people on this forum, I got my box back working.
